Who It’s For

Small Business OwnerThis one is simple. Self-directed retirement plans are for people who want freedom and control in their retirement investing.

It’s for people who are comfortable taking on a bit more risk and more responsibility so they can achieve outsized rewards.

Who has a greater stake in your investing success than you? Who will go the extra mile and passionately pursue new opportunities to ensure that you are able to live the life you choose?  Is that person you or your broker?

Does your broker have a selfish interest in what investments your plan makes?  Unfortunately, these are considerations that a person must keep in mind.

If you want the maximum freedom allowed by law and iron-fisted control over your assets…self-direction may be the right type of plan for you.

Imagine being able to invest in any almost any asset you choose without being told “no, your plan doesn’t permit that”…and, all from one account!

You can self-direct if you have an IRA or a 401(k) as a self-employed individual. But, it doesn’t stop there…a business owner with employees could establish a self-directed 401(k) plan for the business and its employees/participants.

As a business owner, maybe you want the freedom to invest as you see fit, but have been limited to only those assets that your 401(k) broker says are available to you. Have they even informed you that your plan can invest into alternative assets?  Has your broker ever informed you that these assets can be part of your plan?  In most cases, probably not.

As a Fulcrum Self-Directed client, you can assume full control of your Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, individual 401(k), company-sponsored (multi-participant) 401(k) plan and others! Invest as you see fit!  Since we are not investing your funds, we don’t promote or dissuade you from making the investments you see fit for your plan!

You make the call. If this page describes you, give me a call at (866) 331-6350 and we’ll discuss your individual needs.  I’ll give you a transparent explanation of the process and what plan(s) may be right for you!
